"In my group of fishing buddies, love our St Croix Premier rods! that's a total of 16! We enjoy the sensitivity of these rods. We catch BIG Rainbows, Cutbows, Browns, and Palominos in the 18-24" range pretty consistent. Paired with Shimano Rear drag 2500R reels. I've bought 8 Rods! The latest was 4 of these retired rods. I think I should get a hat for that. Actually, it's for my fishing buddy Gary, His Birthday is next month. He's the one that turned me on to St Croix in the first place."
"I have multiple premier spinning rods. I use them primarily to trout fish. I am able to tell the difference between my jig bouncing along the bottom of fast moving water and a fish bite due to the sensitivity of these rods. They have drastically improved my fishing abilities and increased the number of fish landed. I HIGHLY recommend them!"
"This is the 3rd St. Croix rod I've purchased within the last year. Awesome rods with a solid warranty. I'm sure I'll be getting a few more in the future. I live in MT and we have plenty of fishing opportunities to target a wide variety of species, so the need for many different types and styles of rods is fairly great."
"Unfortunately I haven’t had a chance to hit the water yet with this new pole but I did mount a VII reel on it & spooled it up and played around with it. I love the feel and the craftsmanship meets the quality expectations from Premier owners like me. I own at least 5 Premier poles and really like them. This split grip does not disappoint at all. I love it so far."
"I have an arsenal of St. Croix rods, all made in the USA except fot my most recent purchase. I figured it was a Premier rod so there should be no reason it wouldn't be made here. There was no USA sticker on the rod so I got in touch with Angie and found out it was a 50/50 rod, Mexico & USA. I was EXTREMELY bummed to hear that because now I have to return it. I thought I finally got the 7' crappie rod but no. I'm assuming I can return it throught the post office which I will do tomorrow. Totally bummed!!!!!!! "Your products never disappoint me . Great rod with nice backbone and super sensitive. Thank you"
"Haven’t used it yet but don’t think I’ll like the reel seat area. Any rod including yours which I own several where the threads are exposed by the reel tend to make your hand sore after a couple hours fishing. Plan to use it next month north of the border let you know then."
"Just like the other St Croix rods I have this one is well built, balanced, and feels good in my hands. Thank you for continued quality work."
"I have no opinion on this particular rod, because I haven’t used it due to I didn’t realize that it’s a 2-piece rod when I ordered it. I purchased the return postage to try and return the rod over a week ago, however I noticed in the tracking email that it was being sent to a former address of mine instead of my current address. I attempted to reach out via email to alert St. Croix that your people had the wrong address, however I have not yet received the shipping that I paid for and the clock is ticking on my 30-day return window. I have no idea why you keep trying to mail my purchases to an invalid address."
"Haven’t used it yet but I’m going to use 4# Fluorocarbon line with it and it should make a dandy perch and pumpkinseeds rod up north. I think it will handle the occasion toothy critter and brown bass I catch when going after the panfish."
