Never got a chance to use as it .

"Bought both the 5" and 6 1/2 ' Triumph Rods really like the feel and sensitivity just spent a week on the water and was able to use the 6 1\2 ' 2 piece pretty heavily. However the 5' tip broke loading it into the truck barely touched the tip and the first inch just snapped off. Be careful with them it was an expensive lesson."

medium light fast rod

"after getting this rod 3 weeks ago. I finally got to use it. as with the other three st. croix rods that I have , it was awesome! I'll never buy anything else. I have one hand-me-down st. croix from my dad. it has a Mitchell 306 on it. it's from 1961. we both used it for muskies. still using it and I am 66 now. it's still the original blank,reelseat,and cork handle. I had to put new guides on it. but the rod never broke! it's battled many very large muskies!"
