Great rods from St. Croix!

"I have owned this rod for almost a year now and it has been a great rod for the price (besides one issue I will mention later on). Up until now I have caught my biggest Walleye and Largie on this rod, but have also caught plenty of Smallies and Pike with it. It has plenty of backbone to handle larger gamefish, but has a nice whippy/soft tip to be able to make accurate and far casts when needed. The only issue I have had with my Avid casting rod is for some unknown reason the top half of the rod loosens up and twists over time and I have to take the piece off and realign the guides. Other than that, for the price I don't think you can beat this rod!"
