The BEST rod I have ever fished with

"I have had 9 St Croix rods over the past 10 years. I mostly fished Avids which for the quality and price is an exceptional rod. I’m not sure for the price point you can find a better rod. I also fish Legend Tournament Bass rods which also are a great rods, I prefer full grip so I would catch myself grabbing my Avids over the Legend Torunaments. I purchased a Legend Elite a couple of years ago. The difference in weight and sensitivity are hard to describe until you fish it. When you pick up the rod in the store it’s like well it is lighter and the action is good but the other rods don’t seem that much heavier and have good action. Fish It for a day and you will see. Fish it for a month and there is no going back. Recently I had to have my Legend Elite replaced under warranty - no issues the process was easy and I have a new rod in a couple of weeks, the warranty service was Excellent. I fish twice a week sometimes if I’m lucky three times a week. I fish for bass in FL and I feel blessed that our local lakes have some of the best bass fishing in the country. I average 10 fish a trip and on good days can catch up to 25. My largest to date is 10. 3lbs but have caught many 5-6lbers. I’m not bragging I feel blessed I’m just letting you know that I fish this rod! While I was waiting for my replacement I fished two of my Avids. The difference became apparent after the first hour, really apparent in hour 2 - I normally fish about 4hrs each outing. As I said the Avids are Great rods but the difference in weight, sensitivity and hook sets became apparent real quick. My arm was sore from that difference in weight and I missed fish. Is the $250 price difference worth it ABSOLUTELY! I am a better fisherman with the Legend Elite ABSOLUTELY! If I could only have one rod it would be the Legend Elite, in fact I fish the rod 99% of the time. I have never been one to buy cheap or inexpensive fishing tackle but I had a hard time justifying spending $500 on a rod so I didn’t. I would always say I can fish just as good with a less expensive rod. That’s not my truth today. If you are on the fence be good to yourself and buy the best, you won’t regret it. My only regret is I didn’t buy this rod 10 years ago."
