I have purchased a number

"I have purchased a number of the Triumph series rods, spinning and casting, in 6'6" and 7' lengths and have kept four, two 6'6" Medium Spinning rods, a medium and medium heavy casting rod. I have had premier and Bass X rods but always wound my way back to the Triumph. The finish is terrific and I like the feel of a cork handle. It's the right rod in my hand, it may not be for you which is why St. Croix has a variety of rods and I'd encourage people to visit their website or a sporting goods store handling St. Croix rods and find the one that's right for you. The Triumph series is the one I like best."

I prefer the 6-ft medium

"I prefer the 6-ft medium premier however it has been discontinued it was my favorite rod for spinner baits and blade baits so I bought the triumph as a replacement not as good but it's what you have"
